DEPOSIT
A $500 deposit is due at time of booking to secure the date and time requested.

FINAL PAYMENT
Final Payment for your event is due 5 days prior to your event date. Payment is accepted by check or credit card.

FINAL GUEST COUNT
Final Guest Count is due 5 days prior to your event date. Please contact us if you need to increase your guest count within 5 days prior to your event. Additional fees and charges MAY apply beyond the original agreed upon costs.

MAINE STATE TAX
Chefa’s charges 7% on all services. If you are tax exempt, please supply your exemption number at time of order or contract signing.

SERVICE CHARGE
Chefa’s charges 18% Service Charge on every catered event. At the client's discretion, any extra tip/ gratuity will go directly to the service staff.

BAR/ BEVERAGES
Chefa's is licensed and insured to provide full bar services. We pride ourselves on being very flexible in arranging open bar / cash bar combinations that are able to suit every budget. Please discuss your needs with us and we will customize a quote that will accomodate you.
Chefa’s follows all liquor laws set and enforced by the State of Maine and local city ordinances. We reserve the right to close the bar if any of these laws are not followed. 



RENTALS
You may provide all or part of your own rental items for your event. Chefa’s will give you an estimated cost/ list of rentals for your event. You may change or cancel those items at anytime. If Chefa’s is coordinating rentals, on your behalf, through a rental company (i.e. One Stop Party Shop), you will be required to pay the rental company directly for any cancellation fees. Any loss or damage to ANY rentals will be billed to you after your event.

MENU/FOOD QUANTITIES
Chefa’s will prepare between 5%-10% overage based on the final number of guests we receive from you. Part of this overage is to include feeding of the staff and/ or vendors. You are not charged for this service.

GUEST COUNT OVERAGE
You will only be charged for the guaranteed number of guests served unless you have more attendee's than the guarantee AND Chefa’s was required to purchase more Food and or Beverages to accommodate you.

KIDS/CHILDREN
Children under the age of 10 are not charged for catering unless client wishes to provide service/ seating for them. A children's menu may also be provided if requested by you.

LEFTOVERS
Chefa’s staff (or you and/ or your guests) may package up all leftovers. You are responsible for providing appropriate containers to place leftovers into. If you do not have appropriate containers, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Otherwise; all food will be disposed of or taken back to our kitchen. Once at our kitchen we are no longer required to give you those leftovers.
